aboutME
I am an Associate Professor of Political Science at Huron University College at Western, in London, Ontario, Canada.
With experience working in both government policy and academia, I research and teach international relations, security studies, public policy, the politics of the War on Terror, globalization and development, and Southeast Asian regional relations.
The types of questions that I ask necessitate that I move between and across conventional political science sub-fields and utilize interdisciplinary modes of inquiry.
Among other professional and service appointments, I am a member of the Defence and Security Foresight Group's Asia-Pacific team, and the Editorial Board of the International Studies Association's flagship open access journal, Global Studies Quarterly, launched in the Fall of 2020.
My book, Writing Southeast Asian Security: Regional Security and the War on Terror after 9/11, was published by Routledge in 2019.
